Paul Scott Johnson, 60, of Ventura, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2008, from a recent illness and complications from multiple sclerosis.
Scott was born Nov. 22, 1948, in Stillwater, Okla. He came to Ventura as an infant and was a lifetime county resident. Scott attended Buena High School graduating in 1966. He attended California State University, Northridge, majoring in journalism. He was in the U.S. Army National Guard and was stationed at Fort Ord from 1969 to 1970, and was discharged with a medical release. Scott went to work at the post office for seven years as a mail handler. He then worked as a salesman in appliance sales for his own company, Action Appliance. Scott was also a day trader for four years. Scott is survived by his mother, Virginia Johnson of Ventura; sister, Teresa Johnson of Ventura; brothers, Mark Johnson of Camarillo, and Craig Johnson of Ventura. He was preceded in death by his father, Dorman Johnson; brothers, Eric Johnson, and Gary Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. In lieu of flowers, please honor Scott with a donation in his name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 14 W. Valerio St., Santa Barbara, Calif. Scott was entrusted to the care of the family owned Joseph Reardon Funeral Home, 757 E. Main St., Ventura; 643-8623. |
