Marketing alum Robert Yallen elevated as CEO of Inter/Media Group

Robert Yallen has been named as the Chief Executive Officer at Inter/Media Group of Companies. Yallen is the son of late Sydney Yallen who founded the firm in 1947.

Yallen formally joined the company in 1985 and succeeds his father who passed in February this year. He has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Group for the past 10 years. As the COO, Yallen lead Inter/Media’s expansion from a local buying specialist into a national player. While playing the role of President of the Inter/Media Group of Companies, he oversees seven different units that all operate individually, but can also synergistically combine to offer a variety of services to the company’s clients.

Yallen was awarded the highest proficiency in Mass Communication Law from Southwestern University School of Law. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business with a marketing emphasis from California State University, Northridge and a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law.

After gaining his specialization in entertainment, advertising and business law, he initially started as an associate for a small law firm. But later he joined the Inter/Media Group in 1985. Today he is one of the leading experts on direct advertising.

He looks forward to leading the company to new areas of expansion and opportunities building on his father’s legacy.
