Alum Bert A. Dannenberg has completed his Navy basic training

Air Force Airman Alexander J. Brame has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Brame is a 2008 graduate of Pomona High School, Pomona. He is the son of Avis Brame of Fontana and grandson of Willie Gray of Simi Valley.

Navy Seaman Bert A. Dannenberg has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Dannenberg is a 1992 graduate of Ventura High School and a 2001 graduate of CSU Northridge with a bachelor’s degree.

He is the son of Gerald L. and Melinda Dannenberg of Ventura.

Army Spc. Pauline S. Martinez has completed the Warrior Transition Course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

The course teaches basic skills necessary for integration into the Army for all prior-service members to fully prepare them for advanced individual training or on to their first assignment.

The specialist is a 2002 graduate of Channel Island High School. She is the daughter of Betty Vasquez and sister of Priscilla Martinez, both of Oxnard.

Army Pvt. Ryan J. Wertenberger has graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

He is the son of Richard Wertenberger and the grandson of Jerry Wertenberger, both of Newbury Park.

Navy Seaman Recruit Alex J. Amavisca has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Amavisca is a 2004 graduate of Cabrillo Senior High School, Lompoc. He is the son of Alex R. and Carol C. Amavisca of Moorpark.
