Bank of the West Appoints New Head of SBA Lending

SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)-- Bank of the West has hired George Glines as Senior Vice President and SBA Manager in the Bank`s Small- and Medium-Enterprise Banking Division. Glines is responsible for all aspects of government guaranteed SBA lending at Bank of the West. Glines will oversee sales, underwriting, loan processing, loan servicing and portfolio management. "George has a long career in SBA lending and his extensive expertise in credit, sales and operations will help us as we continue to expand our services to more small business customers," said Michelle Di Gangi, Executive Vice President of Small- and Medium-Enterprise Banking at Bank of the West. "As small business owners start to recover from the economic slowdown, there is increasing demand for the products and services Bank of the West provides, including SBA financing." Glines has an extensive 17-year background in commercial banking. Prior to joining Bank of the West, Glines served as Senior Vice President and National Director of SBA Lending for Citibank where he was responsible for facilitating all SBA 7a, 504 and SBA Express loans. He also managed SBA audits and portfolio reviews and served as a liaison to the SBA. Glines led the nationwide franchise lending division for Imperial Capital Bank where he oversaw sales, marketing, credit and portfolio activities and facilitated loans in the branded restaurant and petroleum industries. Previously, Glines helped increase sales at Green Tree Franchise Finance and led the sale of Green Tree`s Franchise Division to Textron Financial, where he then managed sales, underwriting, loan processing and loan servicing. Glines holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Systems Management from California State University at Northridge.
