They are almost over. The end of the semester is glistening on the horizon, and you are poised to come out victorious. Finals week (and the week before it, when all your papers are due) can be extraordinarily stressful for college students. Here are 20 suggestions for releasing all of that tension you built up during the final moments of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sleep<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>No more sleepless nights studying, at least for a while. Take a nap. You earned it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eat a delicious meal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether it\u2019s a $60 steak at a restaurant with a dress code or an unusual new burger at Fuddrucker\u2019s, eating an especially scrumptious meal is a great way to reward yourself at the end of the semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Go out\nwith family and\/or friends<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Spend time with people you enjoy at a place that does not remind you of school. Try a pub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cuddle\nyour pets<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>They miss you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Go to a\nconcert<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Summer concerts are all over Southern California, and watching musicians do their thing without any pressure on you to take notes can be so relaxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Exercise<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Or just take a walk. Your workout routine may have been interrupted by studying, but that\u2019s no reason to let yourself stop working out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>See a\ncomedy show<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong>Laugh it\nup! If you can\u2019t afford the two drink minimum, hang out with your funniest\nfriends for a couple hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Treat\nyourself<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now don\u2019t go crazy, but a manicure or a new steering wheel cover may be a nice treat after exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Focus\non a hobby for a few days<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Forget about school and dive into your model train making. Or whatever it is you like doing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Read\nfor fun<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t take notes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enjoy\nnature<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Take an hour to explore the outdoors and really experience nature. Notice the scent of the plants, and how animals behave. Watch a bee fertilize a flower. Listen to some birds sing. You\u2019ll feel connected to Mother Earth in no time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Go to a\ntheme park<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Nothing like a rollercoaster rush to clear out those post-exam jitters!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visit a\nconvention<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019re into anime, robotics, bodypainting, or horror movies, there is a convention out there for the nerd in everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Experience\nnostalgia<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Watch a movie from your childhood, or go to a restaurant you haven\u2019t been to in years. Go the extra mile by recreating a positive memory with the same food and people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Burn\nold assignments<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure you don\u2019t need them, and then light them up! Do it outside, and keep a fire extinguisher handy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Clean\nup your space<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All the time you spent cramming for exams, and you never noticed how many McGriddle wrappers have been crammed into your tiny trashcan\u2026 Take some time to tidy up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Play a\nvideo game (especially with a friend)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Coordinate with a pal to defeat Bowser, or smash up the town as goats together. However you do it, keep it light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Have a\nspa experience<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A full body massage and facial is luxurious, but if you can\u2019t afford that, try getting a simple pedicure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Create\nor consume art<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Draw, sing, write, or sculpt something from the heart. Or, if you prefer not to be the artist, visit an art museum or see a play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visit a\nfortune teller<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ask about where you should put your focus this summer.
