Most faculty believe that it was grossly inadequate consultation. The above memo summarizes some of what occurred. (It may make more sense against the background of Chair Miller&#8217;s reports).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Ethnic Studies Task Force<\/h4>\n<p>This is the final report of the task force convened by Chancellor White to review issues surrounding ethnic studies programs in the CSU<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.calstate.edu\/AcadAff\/ethnicstudiesreport.pdf\">Ethnic Studies Task Force report<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Quantitative Reasoning Task Force<\/h4>\n<p>The CSU convened a task force to make recommendations on quantitative reasoning education. The report has been cited by the CO to support some of the changes in the Executive Orders.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.calstate.edu\/AcadSen\/Records\/Reports\/documents\/QRTF.FinalReport.KSSF.pdf\">QRTF report<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.csun.edu\/facultypresident\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/2017\/10\/Blanchard-to-Miller-QR-in-EO-1100-1.pdf\">Blanchard to Miller QR in EO 1100 (1)<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">This is a letter from EVC Blanchard explaining how the report informed the EOs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.csun.edu\/facultypresident\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/70\/2017\/10\/QRTFletter.10October17.pdf\">QRTF co-chairs response<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px\">This is a response by the co-chairs of the quantitative reasoning task force to the EVC&#8217;s letter. They charge that the QRTF report is being misused.<\/p>\n<h4>Other CSU campus senate responses<\/h4>\n<p>It is clear that EO1100R affects CSUN disproportionately (2 campus have a different problem in that their GE was built around 4 unit courses which the EO requires to be 3 units). Other Senates are upset about the egregious violations of process. No other campus is considering non-compliance.
