How to Generate a QR Code for Free

What is a QR Code?

A QR Code is a 2-dimensional matrix (a square with marks or dots within each square) that represents a URL. You use the URL to access a website within the app. In order to access the contents of the web page, you need to also have an internet connection and an e-mail address associated with your account.

What are QR codes used for?

There are many ways to use QR codes. You can have QR codes for school teachers, QR codes for business, QR codes for inventory management and marketing purposes. They can be read by smartphones, as well as other devices that use cameras, scanners or touch screens. This allows you to quickly find businesses in your area easily which will help you make new friends and socialize more effectively.

There are many businesses that have QR codes on their websites and it’s helpful to use them so they will remember who you are when they need an order delivered the next time they’re in your neighborhood.

There are also many companies that offer advertising with their QR codes. You can take advantage of this opportunity and have your brand advertised, even if you have a small budget. Many websites are interested in having their QR code in the first page of search results, so it’s possible to get a lot of exposure throughout the world’s biggest countries by paying for a small amount of advertisement.

With social networks and smartphones, people now prefer to communicate with phone numbers rather than email and messaging services because it is easier, more convenient and free. However, some of these services don’t allow people to send images or videos over the phone nor does it have a chat feature.

How to generate a QR code free?

Go to free QR code generator and select a type of a QR code you’d like to generate.

There are 12 different types of QR codes you can create there:

  1. Text QR Code – encode a message into an QR code so that when someone scans it, they will see the message.
  2. URL QR Code – convert a link to an online website, social media profile, brochure, blog, appointment into a QR code.
  3. Phone QR Code – create a QR code with your phone number, so others can call you.
  4. SMS QR Code – allow people to send you a text message after scanning your QR code.
  5. e-Mail QR Code – generate a QR code with your email address, so that other people can scan the QR code send you an email.
  6. Whatspsapp QR Code – create a QR code with your Whatsapp contact information, so others can contact you directly via Whatsapp.
  7. Facetime QR Code – allow others to Face Time you
  8. Location QR Code – encode a location into a QR code, so others can find you. Great for businesses or geotagging.
  9. Wi-Fi QR CodeEncode your Wi-Fi credentials into a QR code, so that others can connect to your Wi-Fi without having to enter the Wi-Fi network name and the password. Works with a quick scan.
  10. Event QR Code – share an invite to an even via a QR code.
  11. Crypto Wallet QR Code – share your crypto wallet with others to receive crypto payments.
  12. Vcard QR Code – share your business name, location, email address, date of birth with others via a standalone QR code or one on a business card.

What other way can you use QR codes:

Whether you’re looking for a way to improve safety, promote your business, or simply impress friends and family members with your technological prowess, this article will provide the best way for you to use QR codes.

We’ll start by exploring how using a QR code as a business card can be beneficial as well as just look cool. If you have a website or social media following for your business, you might want to consider generating a QR code for your card. This gives your card a unique identifier that will be easy for people to scan on their phones and will link them directly to your website or social media account. The benefits of linking multiple accounts can be seen in the Farmville example above; someone who scans the QR code on her farm truck gets access not only to her Facebook page but also her Twitter page, where she can easily get in contact with Leila’s Farm.

A second use of QR codes — one that is often overlooked — is creating an easy way for people to find your contact information. If you are one of the many people who hate writing down personal information, or give out their phone numbers reluctantly, QR codes can allow you to “hide” your contact information in places that aren’t obvious. For example, you could use a QR code to host your phone number along with links to social media sites and your website. Then, instead of giving someone a piece of paper that they might lose, you can simply tell them to scan the code on your shirt with their phone!

There are also some interesting ways in which businesses and educators can utilize QR Codes. Many teachers have found success using QR Codes as an alternative to traditional worksheets. For example, you could use QR Codes to create jeopardy style games for your students. If you are looking for a unique way to promote your business, QR codes that connect back to your Facebook or Twitter profile may be the key. If you want to organize a group of people, QR codes can link them all together so that they can easily communicate with each other. They are also a great way to exchange information within small groups.

Finally, if you need an easy way to get in contact with someone when there is no cell phone service, using a QR code as an emergency contact card might be a good idea. You could also include an emergency contact number for your significant other or family members that are not fluent in English. If people remember to bring their phones with them, they can use a QR code to quickly contact you when they are in trouble!

A couple of things to keep in mind:

1.) Some QR Codes may have multiple links. Just scan the first one you see (that appears when you are scanning a QR Code within the app or on an image. There is no need to scan a second link unless you wish. Scanning will immediately take you there and if it doesn’t work then that’s another link…just keep scanning until it does work.

  1. ) You don’t need to launch the app to scan a QR Code.

Anxiety Diagnosis, Risk Factors and Treatment, Arsen The Science Guy Podcast
  1. Panic attacks or feelings of terror. Except for feeling dizzy or the sensation of being overwhelmed, panic attacks aren’t dangerous. The term “panic attack” refers to a sudden attack of intense fear that can affect you in your heart and lungs, even though you’re not actually in danger.
  2. Extreme anxiety about potential future events (e.g., public speaking, driving). You need to get treatment for your anxiety or it will get worse.
  3. Feeling shaky, sweaty, shaky, having chills or hot flashes. When talking about physical symptoms of anxiety, many people mention shaky hands or feeling shaky in general. This is a common symptom of anxiety.
  4. Irritability. Irritability is associated with anxiety disorders and takes the form of anger, hostility or aggression either expressed verbally toward others or “internally” felt toward yourself.

Symptoms of anxiety

The symptoms of anxiety can be caused by a variety of factors. Some people have anxiety because of a chemical imbalance in the brain, but there are also physical causes. For example, someone with an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) could experience increased heart rate and increased sensitivity to stress (e.g., feeling nervous when you give a presentation in front of the entire class). Migraine headaches could also trigger bouts of anxiety.

The physical symptoms of anxiety could be from a number of other health conditions as well, so you must have a complete exam performed by a doctor to rule out other medical issues.

Symptoms include the following:

  • trembling or muscle twitching
  • weakness and lethargy
  • difficulty focusing or thinking clearly about anything other than the thing you’re worried about
  • insomnia
  • digestive or gastrointestinal problems, such as gas, constipation, or diarrhea
  • a strong desire to avoid the things that trigger your anxiety
  • obsessions about certain ideas, a sign of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • performing certain behaviors over and over again
  • anxiety surrounding a particular life event or experience that has occurred in the past, especially indicative of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Panic attack

A panic attack is a sudden onset of fear or distress that peaks in minutes and involves experiencing at least four of the following symptoms.

  • Palpitations
  • Sweating
  • Trembling or shaking of hands or feet
  • Shortness of breath
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Nausea or abdominal distress

These symptoms are so intense that it might seem like someone else is doing them to you. They can feel like they’re happening for no reason, but the more you understand about panic attacks, the more it will help bring some relief.
A panic attack is different from having a heart attack. People who have had one panic attack will often worry that they’re about to have another one, which leads them to avoid situations in which they fear another attack might happen.- The material below was created in partnership with the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) in order to provide the public with free, accessible information about anxiety disorders. We encourage you to visit their website at for more information.

While anticipation is a part of everyone’s life, the anticipatory anxiety associated with an important event (like a job interview, wedding, or school play) can sometimes feel more intense than others. This type of anxiety is often what brings on the panic attack symptoms that can be so frightening. Learning how to prepare in advance and calm yourself down before a situation becomes overwhelming can help you prevent an attack when it does happen.
A panic attack usually comes on suddenly, with symptoms peaking within 10 minutes.

Types of anxiety disorders

There are several types of anxiety disorders, these include:

People who have agoraphobia have a fear of certain places or situations that make them feel trapped. These may include crowded public places, bridges, or being in an elevated place.

Social Anxiety Disorder

If you have Social Anxiety Disorder, you are afraid of social interactions with other people and it is difficult for you to function in these types of situations. Symptoms include blushing, trembling, rapid heartbeat, nausea and hot flashes. One can also get panic attacks which are intense feelings of fear usually accompanied by physical symptoms like heart pounding or chest pain.

Specific Phobia

Individuals with specific phobias have an unreasonably strong fear or response to a particular object or situation. Common triggers include animals, blood, flying, insects, heights and injections.

Panic Disorder

If you suffer from Panic Disorder, you feel sudden feelings of terror that happen repeatedly and without warning. These are not the same as panic attacks that are present in people who have anxiety disorders. People with panic disorder tend to have recurring spontaneous panic attacks that last at least 10 minutes. Panic can manifest as a full-blown panic attack or as a more mild panic attack that may go away without treatment. Panic disorder can have symptoms that occur in both children and adults, but their symptoms may vary from one age to another.

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

People with generalized anxiety disorder have an excessive fear of everyday things associated with unknown or unpredictable threats. These may include public speaking, public transport, health issues and others. The person may feel restless, tired, irritable or nauseated.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

People who have Posttraumatic Stress Disorder develop symptoms following a terrifying experience or ordeal in which they felt helpless to stop the danger. This anxiety disorder includes flashbacks of the traumatic event and avoidance of anything associated with it. Symptoms may appear within 3 months after the trauma occurs but it may take years for them to develop. PTSD also affects approximately 3% of adults in the U.S.

Anxiety diagnosis

The first step in diagnosing anxiety is to rule out medical conditions that look similar or that cause similar types of symptoms. You must have a complete physical exam performed by a doctor to rule out other medical issues before making the diagnosis of anxiety. However, there are differentiating features between depression and anxiety disorders.

Depression symptoms include:

  • Depressed mood or sadness, as well as loss of interest or pleasure in normal activities
  • Decreased energy and weight loss or eating too much
  • Changes in sleep patterns (e.g., sleeping too much) and physical symptoms such as fatigue, restlessness, difficulty concentrating
  • Making suicidal comments and thoughts (e.g. “I wish I were dead”)
  • Loss of concentration, indecisiveness and memory problems
  • Thoughts that are often repeated, such as “I can’t do anything right” or “No one cares about me”
  • Thoughts of death, suicide or self-mutilation (i.e., cutting)
  • A feeling of worthlessness or hopelessness, along with guilt over things you have done or not done in your past. You feel like life is futile.

Anxiety attack

Anxiety attack can feel like a warm wave, a sense of panic, a pressing tightness in your chest. You might feel hot and flushed with the skin on your face burning, or you may even experience nausea. You may also have trouble breathing and find yourself gasping for air.

But what is an anxiety attack? It is a feeling of intense discomfort often accompanied by physical symptoms such as chest pain or difficulty breathing. An anxiety attack can be an unexpected response to a stressful situation or event. There is no single cause of anxiety attacks. They are often the result of a complex mix of factors, including genetics, personality, and life experiences.

The following are some common causes of anxiety attacks:

  • Stressful life events. An anxiety attack can be the result of a stressful event or situation that causes you to feel anxious or on edge. Maybe you were involved in a car accident and had to readjust to day-to-day life. Maybe you had a family emergency and your stress levels became unmanageable.
  • Panic disorder
  • Situational anxiety
  • Depression
  • Major life changes, such as a death or a job loss
  • There are also some other causes that can cause anxiety attacks. These include: chronically worrying about things without good reason, being trapped in a place with no escape, feeling threatened by remote events, and feeling overwhelmed by the number of choices available to you. Sometimes anxiety attacks caused by other factors may manifest themselves through physical symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest pain.

Anxiety medications

Anxiety medications are drugs that are prescribed to patients who experience clinical anxiety. These drugs can be given in pill form, taken through an intravenous line within a hospital setting, or even by injection. This drug class is commonly used to reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety including shakiness, high heart rate, and shortness of breath that the brain experiences when it’s in overdrive mode.

Examples of these drugs are listed below.

  • Benzodiazepines are antiepileptic medications that have been used to treat anxiety for nearly three decades. They are most commonly used in the treatment of panic attacks, social phobia, and general anxiety disorders. Benzodiazepines are also used to treat alcohol withdrawal symptoms, tension, and sleep difficulties.

Some people believe that benzodiazepines may be an effective treatment for the social anxiety disorder, especially when used as a maintenance treatment. A study conducted by J. R. Weaver and colleagues showed that benzo users experienced a reduction in social anxiety as well as significant effects on quality of life and mental health compared to those who did not use benzodiazepines.

Benzodiazepines include: Alprazolam (Xanax), Clonazepam (Klonopin), Lorazepam (Ativan), Mellaril, and Diazepam (Valium).

This drug class can be given as an injection or infusion.
  • The tricyclic antidepressants are quite effective at reducing anxiety symptoms and also control depression symptoms. The most commonly prescribed tricyclic antidepressant for anxiety disorders is the TCA drug clomipramine (Anafranil), which is also very effective at treating obsessive compulsive disorder. Some common side effects of the tricyclics include: dry mouth, sedation, and weight gain. The side effect profile includes potential side effects like blurred vision, shaking, and sexual dysfunction.

The cyclic antidepressants are antidepressive drugs that are used to treat depression. They are also given to patients with anxiety disorders, especially in the class of the heterocyclic antidepressants. The most common side effects include headaches, nervousness, and insomnia. Less common side effects include weight gain and dry mouth.
  • Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are used for depression but may also be prescribed for anxiety disorders. They affect serotonin levels in the brain which leads to an increase in serotonin activity. MAOIs have been found to be particularly effective at treating panic disorders. MAOIs have a long list of side effects including: insomnia, sexual dysfunction, weight gain, and anxiety.
  • The less commonly prescribed drug class is called benzodiazepine receptor agonists or more commonly called the thienobenzodiazepines. These drugs are used to target the benzodiazepine receptor in the central nervous system. The most common pharmaceuticals used in this class are: clorazepate (Tranxene), diazepam (Valium), and alprazolam (Xanax). They are not often prescribed for anxiety but are often prescribed for sleep disorders.
  • The drug class is also called beta blockers which are used to treat anxiety-related breathing problems.
  • Buspirone is a serotonergic drug that has been studied in numerous clinical trials. Results have shown that some patients have experienced significant improvements in anxiety symptoms while others have not shown any change. Studies have suggested that buspirone may be most effective for generalized anxiety disorder, although it has also been shown to help treat social phobia. Buspirone can be used alone or in combination with other drugs for panic disorder or obsessive compulsive disorder. Common side effects include fatigue, headache, dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea.

At-home anxiety treatments

More and more people are recognizing that their anxiety can’t be cured by a quick fix. In fact, many mental health professionals agree that the traditional approach to treating anxiety at home just isn’t cutting it anymore. As one therapist from Manhattan put it, “Not only is medication not a long-term solution for most patients, but it can lead to dependence and addiction. There’s a different way of addressing the needs of those with chronic anxiety – namely by figuring out what’s making them anxious in the first place.”

If you’re suffering from anxiety, then traditional home remedies aren’t doing the trick. You might try to meditate, or force yourself into relaxing situations, but it’s likely that your efforts are falling short. If you’re ready to get real about your anxiety, then start by taking these 3 steps toward eliminating it once and for all…

  1. Figure out what’s making you anxious. As mentioned above, many people are unaware of what’s causing their chronic anxiety. If you find that you can’t get your anxiety under control, then it’s time to examine what’s really happening. Are you stuck in a rut? Are your everyday experiences triggering your anxiety? Are certain people making you anxious, like family members or coworkers? You need to pinpoint the source of your stress.
  2. Start figuring out ways to relax. You need a plan for calming down once you’ve identified the problem. For example, sure, one strategy might be to say no to parties, but if you’re overweight and health-conscious, then perhaps it’s time to cut back on your junk food consumption. In any case, it’s important that you have a plan in place before engaging in anxiety-provoking activities.
  3. Stop being attached to your feelings of anxiety. Remember that anxiety isn’t necessarily a problem – it’s an emotion, plain and simple. The real issue is when people live their lives in fear of anxiety. Practicing mindfulness techniques can help you to detach from your feelings of anxiety, which will lead to greater peace of mind.

As you can see, there are several different approaches to fixing your home-based anxiety treatment. Remember that the first step is always the hardest. You’ve got this!

Everything you need to know about high cholesterol – Arsen The Science Guy Podcast

Here are some at-home anxiety treatments:

  1. Get lots of rest. We’ll start with some basic advice: sleep well. The more you sleep, the better you’ll feel during the day. Plus, it’s been proven that those with anxiety-related disorders can often benefit from a good night’s rest. Don’t forget to follow through on the first step (see below) if you really want to see some improvements!
  2. Reduce your caffeine intake. Although coffee can have some health benefits, it’s important to keep in mind that it can cause anxiety in some people. You might want to cut back for a couple of weeks before you take any other steps (see below).
  3. Start and stay active. Aerobic exercise has been proven to help improve mental health and reduce stress. The key is to start moving and not quitting. If you suffer from anxiety, then you know that the symptoms are often debilitating. Not only will you feel your heart racing, but you might also feel sick to your stomach or like the world is closing in around you. Treating anxiety at home isn’t easy – here’s what worked for us.
  4. Start exercising more. Our bodies were built to move; it’s what they do best. If you need help, then try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise three times per week.
  5. Take a nap every day. Naps are especially great when you’re feeling anxious because they can really help restore your energy and mind. Plus, many benefits have been attributed to naps so it’s easy to see why they can do so much for your anxiety.
  6. Calm down in the evenings. One of the hardest things to do when you have anxiety is to calm down at the end of the day. Some people prefer a relaxing bath while others might need a nice, long walk. Whatever your favorite self-soothing techniques are, try to start using them regularly.
  7. Practice deep breathing exercises. Another simple relaxation technique is learning how to properly breathe. You can do this anywhere and it only takes a few minutes (and you’re guaranteed to feel better afterward).
  8. Meditate daily. This is yet another great way to reduce your anxiety levels. It can be as easy as sitting still for a few minutes, breathing deeply and focusing on the present. Meditation can really help you become more aware of your surroundings and yourself.

Commonly asked questions about anxiety

What is anxiety?

Anxiety is a psychiatric disorder and has the following categories: Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Acute Stress Reaction.

Why does someone have anxiety?

Anxiety disorders are caused by the interaction of natural, biological factors with life events. The combination of these can change how an individual reacts to stressful situations.

What are the symptoms of anxiety?

Symptoms can be divided into four categories: Physical, Emotional, Cognitive and Behavioral. Symptoms include: Restlessness or increased energy; Muscle tension; Difficulty sleeping; Irritability; Anxiety about performing in public; Not wanting to go out; Feeling tense and jittery. Some people who experience intense and prolonged bouts of intense fear and anxiety may experience paralysis, usually referred to as a panic attack.

What causes anxiety?

Although no one knows exactly what causes anxiety disorders, research suggests that early life trauma, genetics, biology, personality, alcohol/substance abuse, neurochemistry and environment can contribute to the development of anxiety.

How is anxiety treated?

Medications such as antidepressants and anti-anxiety medication can be effective in treating anxiety. The most common classes of medications used to treat GAD include: SSRIs, SNRIs and benzodiazepines. Many people with GAD may also benefit from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and relaxation training. The first treatment for social anxiety disorder is usually medication, such as antidepressants and beta blockers. However, psychotherapy may help those who do not respond to medications alone. Exposure therapy is also a common psychotherapy used to treat anxiety.

How can anxiety be prevented?

Social support is an essential protective factor in preventing and treating anxiety. Good social supports can help prevent the onset of mental health disorders such as anxiety.

How to deal with anxiety?

  1. Identify and record your physical feelings. Anxiety has many physical symptoms such as nausea, an irregular heartbeat, and elevated blood pressure. Recording these can help you better understand whether or not your anxiety is real.
  2. Relaxation exercises such as deep breathing combined with visualization can be a great way to get back on track when you feel like your imagination is racing out of control in worrying about potential outcomes of certain decision-making scenarios.
  3. Over time, you will learn to identify what thoughts lead to where. By keeping a thought journal , you can get a sense of your triggers. If your anxiety is coming from an unrealistic fear about what others think your new haircut looks like, you can then begin to challenge that assumption with the knowledge that it is okay for people not to like it.
  4. Take control of situations by doing . When faced with challenges, do not be afraid to get involved and figure things out for yourself. The more you push past your fear of failure, the greater your chances of success.
  5. Remember that you will be fine. Anxiety causes us to see things differently than how they actually are. By writing out a list of all of the things that may happen and then crossing off the ones that do not occur, you can begin to overcome your fear and see possibilities instead of threats.
  6. Create a plan for what you will do if bad things happen and record it on paper so that it becomes more tangible and less scary . For example, if you are in an airplane and it crashes, your plan should include the steps that would lead to safety in the event of crashing.
Eating disorders – Arsen The Science Guy Podcast

How to calm anxiety?

  1. Learn to breathe consciously.
  2. Learn how to move your body in the opposite direction of the anxiety-producing stimuli.
  3. Check whether your fear is real or not- perhaps there’s just something you’re uncomfortable with?
  4. Stop freaking out.
  5. Take note of the uniqueities of the situation, the people involved- how do they seem to you?
  6. Learn to name your discomforts, fears, and other ‘negative’ emotions.
  7. Develop an emotional vocabulary- list these emotions that bother you, or that trigger anxiety symptoms in different situations or contexts (e.g., anger vs. sadness).
  8. Learn to identify the precursors of your anxiety- it’s easier to be aware of what triggers your anxiety then.
  9. Identify how you’d like to feel instead (e.g., happy, relaxed, etc.).
  10. Rank your discomfort/anxiety on a scale from 1 – 10 (1 – not uncomfortable; 10 – really freaking out).
  11. Develop coping strategies for how to deal with the unpleasant sensations (e.g., breathing exercises, deep-breathing, etc.).
  12. Practice your coping strategy in situations that aren’t directly linked to your anxiety (e.g., when you’re done with work, or when you’ll be able to distract yourself at home).
  13. Focus on present moment experience; maybe this particular situation is quite mundane in the grand scheme of things?
  14. Practice saying to yourself “I am okay” or “my mind/body are okay”
  15. Allow yourself to be okay sometimes.
  16. Sit with uncomfortable sensations, unpleasant thoughts, bodily sensations or aches and pains, without judging or trying to change them (e.g., this is okay; this is not okay).

What causes anxiety?

Social anxiety disorder is a mental health condition that makes it hard to function in everyday life. People with social anxiety disorder worry about how they come off to others and what others think of them.

They often avoid social situations, which can lead to depression and problems at work or school.

This is how you can overcome it:
There are several ways of improving your symptoms of social anxiety disorder, which include cognitive-behavioral therapy, breathing exercises, meditation, or just trying new things. There is no cure for social anxiety disorder, but it can be controlled with medication.

Anyone can have this, not just people with social anxiety disorder:
Social anxiety disorder affects an estimated 6.7 percent of the U.S population.

This is how people may hide their social anxiety:
People with social anxiety disorder often avoid situations that are uncomfortable or uncomfortable to others, which can get in the way of their personal relationships and their job performance. Symptoms of social anxiety disorder can also include blushing, trembling, having a shaky voice, nausea, diarrhea, and an upset stomach.

This is what you can do if you think you may have it:
The first step in overcoming social anxiety disorder is to talk with your doctor about your symptoms. If they are severe enough that they are affecting your daily life, then your doctor may prescribe medication or refer you to a therapist for cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

What does anxiety feels like?

Anxiety feels like the room suddenly getting too hot, the pressure in your chest suddenly feels like it’s crushing you, suddenly you’re fighting an invisible demon. This is just a short list of some of the symptoms that anxiety can cause in someone who is experiencing it. However, not all anxious people experience all these symptoms but many still feel a bit anxious in a day to day life and can be somewhat aware that they are feeling anxious or nervous in a situation or have been told they have anxiety disorder by their doctor. This is of course a misconception of anxiety disorder, but anxiety can still feel a bit scary and has a tendency of making people avoid situations that give them a feeling of nervousness or discomfort.

That feeling of nervousness or discomfort is the cause of the fight or flight response. Basically this means that there are two main modes of action when dealing with danger: fight and flight. These are actually hard wired into our brains and bodies. They were necessary in ancient times when we were very likely to be attacked by a close-by predator such as a wolf for example, and we were just as likely to have to outrun an oncoming mammoth to survive. This all being said, it can be easy to see why these feelings seem so natural, and why people tend to experience these symptoms in certain situations that provoke anxiety or nervousness.

There is great variability in anxiety symptoms from person to person.

History of Mortal Kombat 3
Making of Mortal Kombat 3 Documentary

Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3) was released on July 11, 1996 and is the third and final installment in the Mortal Kombat series. It was developed by Midway Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

The game was initially released for arcades, with ports to the PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and the PC. The Sega Saturn port was released first in North America on October 30, 1996. The Sega Saturn version of MK3 is infamous for not including Kenshi’s fighting stance; first-time players may wonder who the first swordsman is. A Mac OS X version of the game was released in the mid-2000s for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X 10.1, and Mac OS X 10.4. A new version of the game, based on the PlayStation port, was also released on September 19, 2004 for Microsoft Windows. Additional versions have been released for the Sega Dreamcast and Nintendo GameCube using emulated versions of the arcade original. There are multiple versions of Mortal Kombat 3 being sold online on various websites that are physically different from each other.

The game was originally developed by Midway and released in arcades during the year 1996. It was one of the first fighting games to use digitized 3D graphics, and was an instant success among players and critics alike. By 1997, it had been ported to all home consoles from the arcade version. In 1997, a port for the Sega Saturn was released in Japan only. The port was developed by DMA Design and published by Sega, with Midway publishing the North American version. A year later, the PlayStation port of the game was released in North America and Europe.

In 2001, Midway released a new version of MK3 for Windows-based PCs which featured several gameplay enhancements such as a redesigned user interface and support for new 3D graphics cards. This version also includes an extra character, thus extending the total number of playable characters to nine (9). In 2002, a port of the MK3 for the Dreamcast was released under the Sega Classics name. In 2004, a version of MK3 was developed by Yuke’s for a then unreleased system that would become the Xbox and PlayStation 2. This version of the game featured several new additions to the gameplay such as a new two player series mode and a new look to many sprites and backgrounds from all three versions of MK3.

The game itself is an update of the first two games in the Mortal Kombat series, Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat II . All characters from both games are included. Many characters were also altered. The new gameplay mechanics were designed to make it easier to fight against computer-controlled opponents, thus making MK3 on hard mode easier than it was on the first two games on hard mode, but harder than it was on easy mode. The result of this design decision has been a matter of controversy among the players. The game also includes digitized footage featuring most characters as well as newly filmed live action footage with professional actors. Some of the actors included in the game were: Robin Shou (Liu Kang and Kung Lao), Talisa Soto (Kitana and Mileena), Elizabeth Malecki (Sonya and Sindel), and Christopher Lambert (Raiden and Sub-Zero). Another feature of the game is the inclusion of a two-player Battle Mode, which was absent from “Mortal Kombat II”.

The PlayStation port is largely based on the arcade version of MK3. It lacks the extra characters present in other versions, but includes new ones, such as Noob Saibot, Shinnok and Meat. This version also includes the all new “Kombat Tomb”, which replaces The Pit II from MK2. Some graphical glitches in the arcade version have been removed from this port, such as Tanya having a portion of her hair going through the red bar in her hair. Other graphical glitches have been added, such as Sub-Zero’s gloves disappearing when performing his ice beam and Scorpion’s veiled face when performing his tongue bite.

The Sega Saturn version is not much different from the PlayStation port. The graphics, however, are based on that of the arcade version rather than the PlayStation ports. The game was released only in Japan.

The game for the Gameboy Color features Nintendo-style 2D graphics and no digitized voice. The game was developed by Probe Entertainment, which did not port any other title to the system.

The game was also released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2001 under the name “Mortal Kombat Trilogy” (which is actually a combination of MK3 and MKII). It features enhanced graphics and added special effects like rain and sparks, as well as a brand new soundtrack. It also includes the two-player series and the “Kombat Tomb”. The port was developed by Attention to Detail, which created other ports for Midway games such as “Robotron X” and “San Francisco Rush 2049”. It was published by Crave Entertainment. This port is largely based on the PlayStation version of MK3 and it contains most of the new gameplay elements from that version, including Meat and Noob Saibot. The portal in which you fight Shinnok is apparently a large, red mask. It has been rumored that the Kombat Tomb in this port includes a cheat code to unlock Blaze as a playable character, but it hasn’t been proven.

The Windows version is based on the PlayStation port and it contains many of the gameplay changes from that version as well as a completely new user interface (no longer in Win32 and several other functions that were not ported to the console versions). The cutscenes were altered and the music was remastered to include new tracks. Each character has their own individual intro sequence. This port also includes an extra character, Noob Saibot.

There have been a number of ports of the game from the Dreamcast version to other consoles. In Japan, a Gamecube port was released in 2003. It also featured updated graphics and new mini-games where players can play as various characters from the series such as Kintaro or Kobra.[1] A port for Xbox by Yuke’s Entertainment was released along with “Mortal Kombat Trilogy” in Japan on December 9, 2004 under the Sega Classics name. A PS2 port was also released under the same title on February 4, 2005. The newest port of Mortal Kombat 3 was developed by Other Ocean Interactive for the Wii. This version of the game was released on February 9, 2007. A new mini-game called “Motor Kombat” lets players use vehicles to fight each other. It also supports the Classic Controller.

Reception Edit

The game received positive reviews, with critics praising some elements of the gameplay and graphics but were largely critical of some aspects including the difficulty level. A review aggregated from GameRankings gave MK3 an overall rating of 76%. The arcade version has achieved an average score of 91% at The most recent version of the game, MK3 on the Dreamcast, has achieved an average of 86% at

IGN’s Levi Buchanan commented that “MK3 is all about gameplay”, stating that it is very different form the first two Mortal Kombat titles. He claimed that it is more like a “fighting game”, but still retains the elements of a beat ’em up game like its predecessors. However, he commented on certain gameplay aspects stating that it was “impossible to knock them away, even with your most powerful attacks. This is a risky move when it comes to the more powerful characters, and though the game has some basic level design and controls, it’s hard to see how this will translate to a 3D environment.” GameSpot’s Craig Harris agreed saying that “the basic combat of MK3 is basically unchanged from its predecessors, but still offers plenty of challenge and variety”.

However, several differences were noticed. Directly attacked players could be juggled into the air for an easy victory. The health bar is gone making it easier for players with speed and strength to quickly kill their opponents if they can get in close range. Opponents no longer kick out at you while blocking or performing any type of attack. While this may make it harder to perform combos, it encourages the player to move around rather stay in one spot, making fights more exciting. The Combo system was also changed where each character has combo’s that are completely unique to them. The fighting system is more complex than the previous game, allowing players to execute air combos and juggle enemies.

The game was lauded for its graphics and sound.[8] Other critics noted that the game has an improvement over its predecessors by adding new elements such as combo attacks, no more health bars and multiple fighting styles for each character. The Genesis version was criticized for having inferior sound effects compared to the Sega CD versions of MK1 and MK2.

Benefits of a Contactless Online Menu

At a glance, contactless point-of-sale (POS) systems seem like a dream come true for any business owner. Not only do they provide a higher profit margin than traditional cash registers, but they also give customers the ability to purchase menu items online. That’s why it should come as no surprise that many restaurants are looking into contactless POS systems in order to increase their revenue and help keep their customers happy.

But is a contactless system the right choice for your restaurant? Despite the many perks associated with contactless technology, there are some potential disadvantages that you need to be aware of before making a decision.

Is Contactless Really Better?

Although contactless POS systems cost more than traditional registers, they offer several key advantages that can make them more beneficial for your restaurant. More on that in the original article about the benefits of a contactless menu for your restaurant. For starters, an online menu linked to a POS system can increase sales. Because customers will no longer have to order food while dining, they’ll be able to browse your website and mark their favorites before ordering. This means that the number of food orders per day will increase, which is a major contributing factor when it comes to increasing revenue.

Moreover, since you’ll be able to track your customers’ food consumption through online ordering, you won’t have to worry about your fixed profit margins. Instead of earning a set amount when a customer buys food for their table, online ordering will allow the system to calculate the price per item and let you know how much money you’ll make based on the amount of food that was ordered. This makes it easier for your staff to plan menus and produce accurate cost calculations for customers interested in making additional reservations. In cases where customers order online, this is especially important as it can help boost your revenue.

Having a contactless menu normally comes with an online component and it could help you in moving your restaurant online and could be one of the best ways how to promote your restaurant online.

Contactless POS systems also allow you to sell menu items online. When customers order their food online, the POS system can automatically mark the items as sold, and you won’t have to worry about losing out on business because of slow sales or having to manually mark inventory.

Contactless is Much Faster

As far as efficiency is concerned, contactless POS systems also come with a number of benefits. Most traditional cash registers take several minutes to process sales and close out a transaction. By eliminating the need for cashiers to swipe credit cards or hand over receipts, contactless technology allows payments to be processed more quickly. Customers can complete their purchases and leave in seconds flat without dealing with endless lines at the register.

Contactless technology also makes it easier for you to work with international markets. While your staff may have to learn the ins and outs of a foreign money system in order to accept foreign currency, your POS terminal can process these transactions without them even needing to enter the information into your system. If the money and credit card are already loaded onto the magnetic stripe of the card, all you’ll need is a customer’s passport (or other ID) in order to complete payment.

Is Contactless Technology Right For You?

Contactless POS systems are ideal for restaurants that want to take advantage of online ordering and selling menu items without having their profit margins suffer. However, this brings us to our next question…

Is contactless technology really the right choice for your restaurant? If you answered “yes” to one or more of the questions above, contactless POS systems may be a great fit for your business. But if not, there are several other options available to you.

Contactless Brings You Free Traffic from Google and Yelp

In order to increase your profit, it is a good idea to add contactless menu URL on Google and Yelp. This will drive more traffic to your restaurant! Google Maps is a great source of free restaurant traffic. Besides Google Maps, there are at least other 10 sources of free customer traffic for your food business. People search for food on Google every day. By adding a contactless menu to a Google Map, Yelp or Google My Business, people will be able to see what’s on your menu and order online directly from your Google listing. The good thing about Yelp is that it is more of a trusted source for customers.

With MenuStripe, you can easily create an online menu and start taking orders in less than an hour.

History of El Salvador

History of El Salvador

History of El Salvador or any history may be written by the victors, but with all the news coverage these days about conflict in El Salvador and other countries, it’s easy to forget how recent this part of Central America’s history really is. The country has a turbulent past and hasn’t yet found stability since independence from Spain. Fortunately, visitors can still find pockets of tranquility in its colonial cities and villages. Here, you’ll find a mix of modernity and old-world charm.

El Salvador has many attractions for visitors including its cocktail bars and historical sites such as Masaya Volcano National Park which was created when lava poured out for over three decades until it finally cooled off in 1994 at the height of Guatemala’s civil war. There are also magnificent pre-Colombian ruins of pyramids, temples and ceremonial centers, many of which are still being excavated. The majestic Quetzaltepeque Archaeological Site is one of the most important Mayan civilization centers in Central America.

El Salvador has a rich culinary heritage that blends indigenous traditions with Spanish cuisine. A number of dishes, such as chicken in cream sauce with vegetables, are prepared the same way they were four centuries ago. One popular dish is tamales made from corn dough filled with meat or cheese and wrapped in leaves for cooking. Another is sopa de res (beef soup), which dates back to the 16th century when it was served to emperors and kings visiting the country. El Salvador’s beef is considered best in Central America with its variety of cattle breeds.

On a hot day, the perfect entertainment might include a castañada or a colorful street parade which often includes clowns, music and dancers. Local bands play in busy bars where you can hear live Latin rock from El Salvador and elsewhere.

In general, El Salvador has a good economy with job opportunities for everyone from doctors to waiters, especially in tourist areas such as San Miguel. The unemployment rate is 3.9 percent for both men and women at 2011 rates per the International Labor Organization (ILO). The El Salvadorian GDP growth rate per the International Monetary Fund was 2 percent per annum at 2012 rates.

El Salvador has enjoyed relative stability since its civil war ended in 1992. Poverty levels are high, but political stability has allowed the country to grow economically in recent years.

The language in El Salvador is Spanish. The official language is Spanish, and it is spoken by approximately 95 percent of the population. However, indigenous dialects are still spoken in rural areas, particularly San Miguel and Santa Ana. Languages spoken by other ethnic groups include Pochutec (Mayan) and Garifuna (Afro-Caribbean). The government works hard to promote the use of Spanish in all official functions including education, health care and business. The money used in El Salvador is the Cordoba, named for Christopher Columbus.

El Salvador has an interesting set of holidays this year, including Independence Day on September 15 which commemorates the anniversary of the signing of the emancipation decree in 1811. On October 12 is The Discovery of America, which was first celebrated 10 years after Columbus’s landing in the Americas. This historic holiday has become a national holiday that celebrates cultural identity and features music and dance. Another big day is June 10, which marks Heroes’ Day (Dia de los Heroes) and honors those who died fighting for freedom against Spanish rule over 400 years ago. Every Sunday, El Salvador celebrates its patron saint, Our Lady of Aparecida (La Santisima Virgen de Aparecida), with special events in churches throughout the country.

The national flag is readily identified by its five horizontal stripes representing the colors blue, white, red, yellow and green. The blue is indented with a white ring to symbolize the Pacific Ocean. The coat of arms features a chained crown above triple pineapples with golden tassels on either side of the crown at the top right corner. The tassels display symbols that celebrate El Salvador’s indigenous heritage including an alligator for San Miguel and limpias (flowers) that signify Santa Ana. At the bottom right of the coat of arms is a banner that is inscribed with the words “Order and Liberty” which were used during colonial times after independence from Spain.

El Salvador has three principal cities: San Salvador is the largest city and its capital, Santa Ana is also important and so too is La Union. San Miguel, located in western El Salvador, has been called the most beautiful city in Central America because of its central role in developing El Salvador’s economy and reputation as a center of industry and commerce with a pleasant climate year-round. It was founded by Spaniards in 1525 on an expansive plain that also served as a breeding ground for cattle. In addition to its natural beauty, this colonial city is filled with historic sites whose magnificent architecture still stands despite the quakes and tremors it has endured.

The patron saint of El Salvador, La Negrita, was originally a statue that sits in the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in San Miguel with a cross in her right hand and a rosary in her left. She is dressed in a gold crown and robe and is considered the mother of all Salvadorans. The Virgin’s feast day usually falls on December 12 but it’s celebrated on September 8 because she appeared to one Antonia Lopez, mother of Jose Simeon Lopez, on the 8th day of the month about 200 years ago.

The El Salvador flag that is used on official occasions is red, white and blue with the coat of arms in the upper left corner. The current flag took its roots from the flag of independent San Salvador that was first used after independence from Spain in 1821. The colors represent the different groups that have contributed to El Salvador’s prosperity over the years. The flag was changed after a new constitution was signed in January 1831 so this year marks 300 years since it took effect.

History of the French Revolution
History of French Revolution by Discovery YouTube

The French Revolution was the most important event in French history that started on July 14, 1789, and lasted until September 21, 1799. The revolution overthrew the French monarchy and brought on a period of prolonged conflict, first through war with England and later through wars with other European powers. France owes its place as a world power largely to this great period of change. The events during the French Revolution transformed France from an absolute monarchy into a democracy which is now called “the first modern democracy.
The French Revolution was a pivotal event in the history of Europe. It changed the lives of millions of French people, abolished feudalism, and led to the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. The Revolution ended monarchy in France and established a republic.

The causes of the Revolution were many, but most historians agree on several major factors: The Estates-General became an assembly representing the whole nation after 250 years of being an assembly only for the elite. – The economic crisis which followed was not just restricted to France, but was part of a larger European economic crisis that followed the Seven Years War. – The Great Fear happened in 1789, with peasants revolting against what they believed were unfair taxes by their landlords. – The king surrounded himself with too many advisers who had no power. – There was a lack of clearly defined Revolutionary ideology that could unite the nation.

The French Revolution is an example of an ideological driving force that radicalizes the masses, bringing them to take action. The “dynamism” of the masses causes more extreme actions after time, as the more extreme actions are taken, the less radical appear to be.

The war of conquests which ended feudalism in France was no exception. After the battle of Valmy, revolutionary armies went on to conquer most of Europe under Napoleon Bonaparte’s leadership between 1796 and 1815.

By 1793, the French revolution had progressed to the point of radicalizing many of its participants. The Jacobin faction had taken control of the government. As a result, King Louis XVI was brought to trial on charges of treason in late 1792, and was executed on January 21, 1793.

The new French constitution of 1793 made France a constitutional monarchy with a Legislative Assembly making up the legislature for France’s first republic. The anti-royalist Jacobin leader, Maximilien Robespierre then initiated the Reign of Terror (1793–1794), during which thousands were killed, most by guillotine in Paris, including members of the former nobility who supported an absolute monarchy.

During the Reign of Terror, thousands were executed by guillotine and tens of thousands were imprisoned and sent to the most backward and remote areas of France. Many members of the rich aristocracy who supported an absolute monarchy were executed during the Reign of Terror.

The Jacobin faction tried to make its rule permanent, but was eventually overthrown in 1794 after a successful uprising against them in Paris. The French Directory (1795–1799) was a government formed by five directors: Robespierre, Saint-Just, Couthon, Cambon and Boissy d’Anglas. All members were aimed at eliminating dissent and securing punishment for the counterrevolutionaries.

The Directory soon came under attack from the right. The Catholic Church was declared illegal and those who objected to this were arrested and executed. Robespierre is known as “the most zealous and enthusiastic defender of the religion of the ancient regime, with his Jacobin cult and his worship of virtue.”

There was a fratricidal war between the people of Paris and the rural areas over who hated the most: “”Parisians vs. country folk”” (guerre de pays). (See also: Siege of Paris (October 1795) ). After three months fighting, France had been set on an irreversible course towards dictatorship.

In 1799, Napoleon Bonaparte staged a coup d’état and installed himself as first consul. He initiated a series of reforms including lower taxes and he had an exchange of ambassadors with the United States. The Treaty of Amiens (1802) temporarily ended hostilities between France and the United Kingdom. Napoleon was named emperor in 1804 under the “legal” pretext that Napoleon I was not covered by the constitutional three-term limit. Later, he crowned himself Emperor on December 2, 1804 at Notre Dame de Paris and declared Joseph Bonaparte his heir.

The French Empire was now fully legal under the French Republic. Napoleon began to modernize the country. He established a merit-based education system, nationalized all land, ended feudalism, updated the tax code, expanded the government and separated church and state. He also built a new Paris with streets and monuments designed by architects he personally selected including Jacques-Ignace Hittorff and Jean Chalgrin.

The reign of Napoleon I was considered to be one of France’s most important times in history because it brought about almost 200 years of peace after the end of “ancien régime”. The French period became known as the “Napoleonic Age”.

The Congress of Vienna took place in 1814, after Napoleon’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. The primary concerns were to restore political stability in Europe that had been disturbed by Napoleon’s invasion of Russia, post-revolutionary unrest that occurred throughout Europe, the Napoleonic Wars, and to safeguard the interests of the European monarchs against possible future claims through heirs. The Congress also included talks on compensation for France. This resulted in a compromise between Prussia and Austria over conflicting territorial claims; each agreed to cede one third of its pre-war possessions.

The Congress of Vienna was also responsible for the redrawing of Europe’s political map. The number of German states was reduced to 39, with the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire, and all remaining lands were given to the German Confederation. The Austrian Netherlands and Prince-Bishopric of Liège were annexed by Prussia. Switzerland became a confederation. The Duchy of Warsaw, which had been created by Napoleon, was abolished and divided between Russia, Prussia and Austria.

From 1815 to 1848 European countries engaged themselves in wars that started in France with the fall of Napoleon I. The monarchies defeated Napoleon and the Church, which had sided with him ever since the French Civil War. The Concordat of 1801 was an agreement between Napoleon and Pope Pius VII signed during the first year of his reign where he made a deal with the Pope to return to pre-1789 religion in France. This included having a Catholic bishop appointed as the head of every French regional division along with Catholicism being taught in schools.

After his defeat by Prussia, Austria, Russia and Great Britain at Waterloo, Napoleon found himself condemned to exile on Saint Helena Island in July 1815, which was controlled by Great Britain.

What is Parkinson’s Disease – Explained in Plain English

Parkinson’s disease, or PD, is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects the central nervous system. It mainly affects motor functions like movement and balance. As part of the central nervous system, the brain is affected by PD and can cause a variety of symptoms that vary in severity between individuals. Parkinson’s disease is mostly seen in older adults but can occur at any age from late childhood to late life.

The cause of Parkinson’s disease is not known, but research suggests that both genetics and the environment are factors. People with a family history of the disease have a higher chance of developing the disease. Researchers discovered that toxins, such as those found in some chemicals and pesticides, can also cause PD. The lifestyle choices a person makes may play a role in the chances of developing Parkinson’s disease.

The Parkinson’s disease is caused by the loss of dopamine nurons in the substantia negra (SN) region of the substantia nigra and by microglia-mediated death of nigral dopaminergic neurons. The loss of dopamine nurons causes a further loss of dopamine after degeneration, leading to symptoms.

There are two types of PD
Parkinson’s disease is diagnosed in people who have certain symptoms and one or more signs of the disease. A doctor will determine if a person has Parkinson’s disease based on the person’s history, physical exam, movement abnormalities, and laboratory tests.

Many people with Parkinson’s disease are diagnosed much later than they would be without symptoms. This is because the symptoms are similar to other conditions, such as multiple sclerosis. It is important to have a proper diagnosis, as early treatment can slow or prevent some of the symptoms.

In addition to a neurological examination, testing may include:
An electroencephalogram (EEG) is useful in diagnosing Parkinson’s disease when it shows abnormal wave patterns and low amplitudes in the alpha range.

Parkinson’s disease is treated with a combination of medications, surgical procedures, and physical therapy. Successful management of PD involves medications to help increase the dopamine levels in the brain, which helps improve motor symptoms. Non-motor symptoms are also treated with various medications and therapies to help improve cognitive function and control movement problems.
